Pavel Šporcl plays Beethoven

Pavel Šporcl is a Czech violin virtuoso of world renown, a direct successor of the famous tradition of the Czech violin school. Thanks to his art and unconventional performance, he celebrates success on the world's most important stages with listeners of all generations. He is probably the most popular Czech artist working in the field of classical music.

Šporcl was born in České Budějovice. He completed his studies at the conservatory and at HAMU with professor Václav Snítil. In the meantime, he continued to study the violin in the USA at prestigious schools (Juilliard School, Brooklyn College, SMU Dallas) and with leading teachers (D. DeLay, I. Perlman, M. Kawasaki, E. Schmieder).

Since 2011, he has been teaching violin at the Music Faculty of the AMU in Prague. The extensive repertoire of the leading Czech violinist includes over 40 violin concertos, countless sonatas, chamber and virtuoso works. In addition to the accent on Czech composers and basic repertoire, it also focuses on contemporary music.
