BoCirk -Theatro Oculus
Oversized puppets and acrobatics. A giant pink elephant floats above the heads of the audience. A one-eyed snail slinks by. And an astronaut watches everything from afar. A wise and strange owl flashes in the space. And you might even spot a confused reindeer, a giant colourful caterpillar or an extravagant mosquito. Additionally, the entire Oculus is overseen by a century-old turtle in a flying balloon.
BoCirk is a circus world full of poetry, movement and magical moments. Each performance is a story that combines acrobatic skill, artistic creativity and unexpected moments of surprise.
BoCirk is a collective of artists who prioritize originality, creativity and authenticity. Connecting emotion with movement, finding new paths in visual and performance art, and creating moments that transcend the boundaries of traditional circus are key. Their goal is to inspire, surprise and bring the audience moments they will never forget.
They are based in the Moravian-Silesian region, where they are the only Company fully dedicated to independent culture. They actively develop awareness of new circus and bring unique projects to the region that connect modern art with the local scene. Their aim is to inspire, surprise and open space for innovation and creativity in the performing arts.
