On Tuesday, the second of May, in a pleasantly balmy evening, we started the theatrical tour of the Moravian-Silesian National Theater Ballet in Israel. The ensamble was invited thanks to the recommendation of the famous local choreographer Itzik Galili. They will play a total of six shows in three cities, Jerusalem, Haifa and Hertzelia. Already on the first night, it received a great response from the audience.
The hall was bursting at the seams and lovers of modern dance couldn't wait for the performance, which consisted of two parts. The first part of the evening introduced the Israeli audience to the work of Spanish choreographer Juanjo Arqués, who works not only in dance, but also in film, fashion and performance. The choreography of Consequence is inspired by the endless development of the relationship between nature and man and the influence of modern technology. The minimalist concept was accompanied by music full of specific noises and digital sounds. The dancers were alternating slashing and fluid movements with classic ballet poses.
However, Rossini's cards were the highlight of the evening. Mauro Bigonzetti's frame composition unfolds in front of the viewer a kaleidoscope of individual scenes, a sequence of parallel images of life linked to the respective cards and subordinated to Rossini's music. Individual numbers do not lack humor, perspective as much as sensitive dance duets. Just a spectacular dance party with wonderful music! The audience excitedly whispered in Hebrew "maxim" and "gadol", amazing and tremendous. Plus a little surprise in the form of a favorite recipe of the famous gourmet Rossini.
Last but not least we would like to thank to our parter Smartwings company.
