In July, the Jerusalem Lyric Opera Festival took place in Israel. In addition to Czech operas by Antonín Dvořák and Bedřich Smetana, it also featured Czech glass. The festival included a fashion show where the products of the Czech company Preciosa appeared alongside the work of Israeli designers.
The manufacturer Preciosa is based in Jablonec nad Nisou, where it successfully continues the centuries-old tradition of Czech glassmaking. Furthemore its products are sold far beyond the borders of the Czech Republic. In Jerusalem, beads and other Preciosa jewelry products decorated the opera costume collection of the fashion designer Natali Boychuk. Among them were costumes for Rusalka - the fairy tale opera by the Czech composer Antonín Dvořák.
