After the first evening in Tel Aviv, the annual showcase of the best Czech films Czech Film Week moved to Jerusalem. Director Michal Nohejl arrived on Tuesday August 16 to present his debut film Occupation at the Jerusalem Cinematheque. Czech House Jerusalem was represented by its director Robert Mikoláš.
In addition to the Occupation, the Jerusalem Cinematheque will screen three more Czech films in the coming days. Two of them - Firemen's Ball and Black Peter - are among the iconic films of director Miloš Forman. This year marks the 90th anniversary of the world-famous filmmaker's birth. Moreover Forman is no stranger to the Jerusalem Cinematheque. In previous years, local audiences have had the opportunity to see Amadeus, Hair, as well as The Love of a Blonde.
Last but not least, the Czech Film Week 2022 festival will feature the recently released comedy Bet on Friendship, which has gained the attention of wide audiences on Czech soil.
