The Herak/Bulatkin Quartet, a Czechoslovak group combining jazz, classical, and folk music, performed on Friday, June 21, at the tenth annual Jerusalem Jazz Festival. The music of this group reflects the common Central European roots of both leaders. It is heavily influenced by Slavic and Gypsy folk music, as well as impressionist classical music and rhythms from the Balkans, so it was quite a spectacle! The concert was filled with an energetic and pleasant mood accompanied by the magical atmosphere of the Jerusalem streets.
