On Wednesday, November 16, the project of the Mehrin Moravian Jewish Museum was introduced by its creators in Czech House Jerusalem.
The project of the Moravian Jewish Museum Mehrin was introduced by its director Martin Reiner, documentarian Martin Šmok and historian Táňa Klementová. The creative team presented not only the idea itself, but also a deeper probe into Jewish history in Moravia. The international architectural competition, the remaining designs and the winning design of the Japanese architect Kengo Kuma were presented by Ing. architect Jakub Kynčl from the studio knesl kynčl architects. At the end, Radovanen Síbrt from the Pink creative studio presented the possibilities of a museum exhibition in the 21st century.
The MEHRIN Moravian Jewish Museum intends to present the history of the Jewish presence in Moravia, including the tragic events of the Holocaust and the subsequent silence of the communist era, by making the authentic life stories of Moravian Jews accessible to the public using 21st century technology.
